You've opted for new coilovers or a sports suspension, but your BMW came from the factory with electronic damper control (EDC / VDC)? After removing the original dampers, the vehicle will display a permanent error message on the dashboard ("Suspension system impaired") and often disable other driving dynamics systems.

Instead of expensive and often unreliable cancellation kits (hardware resistors) that can overheat, we at kabelwerk7 offer professional software-based deactivation.

⚙️ Our Solution: Software Instead of Resistors

• No "dummy plugs": We deactivate the EDC control unit directly in the vehicle software. No additional module is installed that could break or cause contact problems.
• Clean Integration: We adjust the vehicle order (FA). Your BMW will then "know" that it no longer has EDC. All other systems (ABS, DSC, driving mode switch) will continue to function perfectly.
• Update-proof: The deactivation is deeply embedded in the system, ensuring it remains stable even after a workshop visit.
• Fully Reversible: Should you ever want to revert the vehicle to original EDC dampers, we can reactivate the function at any time.

🔧 Our On-Site Service

1. Diagnosis: We check the status of the suspension control unit.
2. Programming: Adjustment of the vehicle order and deactivation of EDC monitoring.
3. Hardware Check: We professionally disconnect the plug connections to the old control unit (if not already done) to avoid short circuits.
4. Fault Memory Clearance: Final scan of all systems for an absolutely "clean" car.

⚠️ Important Note

Deactivation is only useful if the electronic dampers have already been replaced with mechanical dampers. We perform this service exclusively as an on-site appointment to guarantee the correct functioning of all control systems.
