Apple CarPlay Activation for BMW EntryNav2 (ID5 & ID6)

Modern infotainment for the "Business" system – wireless and in full-screen mode.

The EntryNav2 system (often recognizable by the map version "Way") offers an excellent basis for Apple CarPlay. Although it is the more compact system compared to the NBT Evo Professional, we enable full smartphone connectivity for you here. As hardware requirements and software status are crucial, we offer this service exclusively as an on-site appointment.

Compatibility

This service product is suitable for BMW models from approx. year of manufacture 2017 equipped with EntryNav2 (iDrive 5 / 6).

• Models: 1 Series (F20), 2 Series (F22), 2 Series (F45/4), 3 Series (F30), X1 (F48), X2 (F39), and many more.
• Identification feature: In the navigation options under "Version", the map name "Way" appears.

⚠️ Technical requirements & hardware

1. The WLAN port check: Unlike its big brother (NBT Evo), not all EntryNav2 head units have a WLAN port on the back.

• Our expertise: We check on-site whether your head unit has the required port. If there is no WLAN port, activation is technically not possible.
• WLAN antenna: As with almost all retrofits, the antenna is usually missing here too. To avoid connection interruptions, we almost always professionally install it directly at your appointment.

2. Software version:

• Standard: We enable Apple CarPlay wirelessly.

🔧 Our on-site service scope

4. Pairing: Assistance with the first connection to your iPhone.

Please note that EntryNav2 systems without an existing WLAN port cannot be retrofitted on the hardware side. We therefore always recommend a brief preliminary check of your vehicle identification number (VIN) by us.
